Holy God - nine weeks since I made a post! That makes Baby Jebus cry.
Anyhoo mad weekend at work. Got a guy in who had been stabbed in (deep breath) the head , neck, chin, chest (penetrating his trachea (windpipe - not easy to breathe with that) and esophagus ) and left eye. Add to that every bone broken in his face , yes every one, and he was a bit sick. His upper lip was sliced from nostril to lower lip all the way through and his chin stabbed to the bone. All in all 9 hours in theatre.
So busy weekend.
Then off last night to see U2s last gig in Dublin for a while. Just me, Bono and 80,000 of our closest friends.
Brilliant gig. Mindblowing stage set. And Aung San Suu Kyi is now Amnesty International Ambassador of Conscience. Throat now sore with giving Bongo a hand with the singing. Well, he is getting on , and can't be expected to remember all the words...
T'was like a Greatest hits set - 4 or 5 from the new album then into Sunday Bloody Sunday (with Islamic backdrop!) New Years Day, Joshua Tree and Unforgettable Fire stuff. Went home happy.

So the latest news from the good old Emerald Isle is our Minister for Justice is bringing a Blasphemy Bill before Parliment.
And the proposal is to prosecute people for offending "the religion". Which religion isn't specified but we can guess...
So Dave Allen , South Park and the writers of Father Ted could be prosecuted in theory. All it takes is some religious loon to complain.
